I saw on the news recently the same reference to the diet pop article that I had read. I thought after watching the segment on it it would be helpful to give you some alternatives for beverages that do not have artificial sweeteners in them:
- tonic water
- lemon or lime squeezed in your water
- diet tea and if you need sugar add your own tsp or 2...that's much better than the 16 tsp. a 20 oz. diet tea made from manufacturers has!
- i do enjoy sparkling water flavored with black cherry (i know this may contain some artificial flavors but it's better than equal or splenda)
Obviously you can't be perfect and eat/drink everything natural so do the best you can. Choose the things that matter most and throw the others out. Your drive and focus to meet your goal weight is important to achieve the end result you desire.
